What kind of bread should I serve with this pasta dish?

Maybe a silly question but whatever! I'm making Basil Chicken over Angel Hair pasta for my family Wednesday. I was wondering if I should serve french bread, dinner rolls, maybe a loaf of rosemary bread... i really don't know. Any suggestions are welcome!

Crusty french or garlic bread. Or bread sticks or cheesy bread sticks!

Reply:sourdough bread with melted parmigiano reggiano cheese
Reply:Garlic Bread Sticks...just get them in your frozen aisle at the grocery store
Reply:Honestly, there is enough carbs in pasta without having to serve bread. You should make a really big salad. If you have to have a bread, try crustini.
Reply:I'm usually a garlic bread person myself..
Reply:Maybe a baguette, cut into slices, with some of the sauce from the chicken for dipping, or even an olive oil/garlic/basil sauce for dipping. Bread is very filling so small pieces would allow your family to have some but still enjoy the wonderful meal you've prepared.
Reply:Chibata is a great Italian bread. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Makes for a great bread dipped in something or by itself.
Reply:First I thought, a fresh loaf of French Bread...but then I saw the rosemary bread and thought that might be a nice change.

I would go rosemary...french is very predictable.

Have a wonderful meal.
Reply:Thick cut italian bread made into garlic bread.. Yummy with pasta!
Reply:They all sound good but you could also do some galric bread. Use the frech bread and slice on the diagnal in about 1 inch thick pieces. Melt butter with chopped garlic, (use real garlic not powder). Brush both sides of the sliced bread with the galric powder then spirnkle with paremsean cheese, grated will work but shredded is best. Place in a skillet or on a griddle and "toast" each side. Delicious.
Reply:try a cheesy italian,or a bagette and a dipping sauce if u like ,some good olive oil, parm ,hot pepper flakes or romano yummy
Reply:I'd say bread sticks of differing flavors such as garlic, cheese, sesame, plain etc. Just like in the restaurant. You can find these in the gourmet food section of the grocery store.
