They are all good for you and some are good for pain.
Reply:none, but eculapytus will clear your head and posibly make you sneeze....like Ben Gay.....................

Have you tried Lavender or Camomile? Get the herbal teas if you really want to have a complete experience of smelling and tasteing. Enjoy.
Reply:As far as I know, there is no reason why you shouldn't smell them as often as you like. Eucalyptus in an oil form, though, should NEVER be taken internally. I believe there may be some warning against taking tea tree oil and rosemary oil internally as well. For more information about herbal oils and remedies, go to www.herbalremediesinfo.com. It's a great informational site.
Reply:I am an alternative medicinal therapist this includes aromatherapy. If you sniff them in their NEAT form then yes, there is a good reason why you shouldn't sniff them.,the only exception is lavender and eucalyptus which you can put on a hanky but even then you must do this in moderation, they can have an adverse effect.. What ever goes up our nose ends up in our lungs and then into our blood stream, These oils can be lethal, this is why they are diluted in water and heated up and vapourised into the air and this way you get the full benefits of the oils.

Reply:Essential oil can be irritating to the mucous membranes, so be careful when sniffing, especially the tea tree. No real reason why not,as long as your nose isn't doing anything strange but ....it is better to put them in a diffuser so you can smell them for longer. My favorites are Rose, Lavender, and Chammomile but I have such a hard time choosing! I am at windstarhealing.com if you have any questions
Reply:you can sniff them as long as you want, orange and lavender oil are really nice too. Lavender is calming, sniff before you go to bed and you'll have a good nights sleep.
Reply:i wouldn't think they would necessarily harm you with an occasional sniff, but perhaps you should find some candles with those scents built in or sprinkle some on your potpourri. tea tree oil is great for acne--dab it on full strength if your skin isn't too sensitive, or mix a few drops with a bottle of witch wazel and then dab on your face.

i make a really wonderful eucalyptus/cucumber-melon soap, i like to call "carpe diem".
