Pregnant encounter with Rosemary & Eucalyptus??

Hi. I am 15 weeks pregnant. This is my 3rd, and so far only successfuly pregnancy. So let's just say I am paranoid.

I went to the spa today...during my visit, I soaked my skin (except for my belly) in pure eucalyptus oil in the steam room for 10 minutes. At the time, I had no idea this is what it was but was later informed by my therapist. I then received a facial where she put a rosemary lotion on my skin.

I know some herbs can be dangerous when you are preggo so I decided to look these ones up. And I read some very bad things! I am sure I am just being paranoid but can anyone tell me if they have used these during pregnancy with no issues? Or read any very clear warnings on these two herbs?

Thanks!

You shouldn't have any problem with either of those two herbs on your skin. I wouldn't worry about it. There are some herbs dangerous to pregnant women, like pennyroyal (a type of mint), but you would have to ingest them for them to be dangerous. If there was even a small question of either of these being dangerous to pregnant women, the spa wouldn't use them.
Reply:be careful with the steam room, you dont want to get overheated. I think those herbs should be fine, since they were topical..but the stram or/heat could be a concern. also stear clear of saunas or hot tubs as they could cause birth defects. Don't worry too much, but speak to your doctor and avoid high temps in the future. Congrats on the pregnancy and I wish you all the best.
Reply:You should be ok.
Reply:Oh girl that is good for you. I went to bath and body works, paranoid that anything not ivory (the bar soap) would irritate my skin with those different scents and the lady behind the counter told me that eucalyptus, chamomile, and rosemary are very good for the skin and they don't irritate anything or clog up the pores. They are also a good relax agent.
