Bugs are eating my mint. How to get rid of them without chemicals?

I have a 3-gallon pot with peppermint, spearmint, rosemary, oregano and marjoram on the patio of my apartment. Some sort of bug is eating and/or sucking the juices from the mint leaves but not touching the other plants. I have a suspicion that it's leaf-hopper type insects and inchworms falling from a nearby tree. I want to protect my plants, but I don't know what to do. HELP!!!

Simple green, which is a soap, works great for many kinds of bugs, and won't harm the plant.
Reply:Lady Bugs eat aphids and other small pests. You can also spray your plants with a very diluted mixture of dish washing liquid and water. Don't get all out of shape about dish washing liquid be a chemical...water is a chemical by definition.
Reply:Sprinkle some salt.

or

Add some lemon balm or lemon thyme (both herbs). The bugs don't like lemon scented plants.
