Ladies, if a guy invited you to his place for dinner, and made the following for you, what would you think?

For starters, a salad made of lettuce, radicchio, anis, thinly-sliced carrots and red onion, served with an olive oil and wine vinegar dressing.

A main course consisting of filet of salmon baked in butter with a couple of lemon slices on top, seasoned with a bit of salt, pepper and Italian parsley. Chunks of red potatoes spiced with salt, pepper, paprika, parsley and rosemary sautéed in butter. Asparagus spears salted and blanched in water and olive oil with a generous amount of chopped garlic. All served with a bottle of delicious Chardonnay.

And for dessert, blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream. Finish with coffee or tea and a liqueur of your choice.

First come, first served. Bon apetit!
Ladies, if a guy invited you to his place for dinner, and made the following for you, what would you think?
Well Vinny, I think I would definately replace the Italian sausage that's on my plate now with yours!!
Reply:Awesome!!! Just make sure you pay as much attention to your lady as you do to your cooking. Your description, and the fact that you posted here so people can tell you how wonderful you are, makes me wonder if you aren't a little stuck on yourself, and would you be sitting there waiting for compliment after compliment, or would you be complimenting me? Would you expect me to do the dishes (and then you) because you went to all this effort cooking, or would you do the dishes (and then me) to make me feel special?? Good Luck!!
Reply:I would think, "that's an awful lot of garlic in the asparagus... was this supposed to be a date?"
Reply:Just the amount of time and detail you took to describe the meal is quite impressive. Any girl would be lucky to be treated to such a special meal. Good luck finding that girl!
Reply:wow that is great.... a real romantic guy.
Reply:Very nice, my husband was the only guy I ever dated that cooked for me.
Reply:I think it sounds great, but I would change the dessert to a chocolate lava cake with ice cream.....chocolate is the universal language of girls, and blueberry stained teeth are not al all romantic.
Reply:I would be in love.
Reply:It all sounds yummy except the fish. I would hope your dream date likes it. I would want chicken or scallops. Hope she shows up soon!!
Reply:To answer your question....I would wonder if you would spoil me in other wonderful ways as well...you sound, well, delicious!
Reply:The menu sounds great. I would suggest pairing the salmon with a Pinot Noir from Burgundy or Oregon. Chardonnay is nice, but with all of the butter in the dish this ligher style, earthy red will pair better. Lucky girl!
Reply:It all sounds delicious and I'd be lovin it on a non date night.

But if it is a "date" to be perfectly honest, it doesn't sound like a "any lovin" would immediately follow ( if that is something you hoping for.) The smell of garlic lingers on and on and so does the smell of fish. And at a party we had in the summer, we served a blueberry dessert that turned everones teeth blue. If my man cooked dinner, I'd say nix the garlic, switch out the fish, and switch to apple pie and I'd be a happy mama. ;)
Reply:Wow. I am impressed. R u Italian. How sweet r u. Where can i find a guy like u.
Reply:Instead of planning a menu before meeting the girl (she might not like garlic, man!) I think I'd ask her first about some of her own favorite foods and plan a dinner from there. A good food/wine pairing is always important for a romantic dinner at home, too. I also suggest practicing the entire meal once in advance if it's not something you're very familiar with. Try it on a friend perhaps; get some "feedback". (hehe. get it? FEEDback? oh nevermind.)
Reply:That I was PRETTY close to heaven. Awesome. There's something so sexy about a guy who cooks. (I hope it's evoo, %26amp; FRESH rosemary %26amp; flat leafed parsley %26amp; center cut Alaska (not farm raised) salmon filet %26amp; how about some calamata olives in the salad? Freshly gounrd pepper? Smoked paprika? Teeny tender red potatoes? Sea salt?) Just joshing you. Of the 53 men I've know, (probably more but I can't remember their names), only THREE knew how to cook. What a pleasure! Somebody is going to grab you up.
Reply:Sounds like something I would make. Do you make your pie crusts from scratch or store bought? That would be the ultimate test .... if a man knows how to make a pastry crust from scratch he is a winner.
Reply:I would melt if a guy put that much into a meal. As the child of a large italian family... I know how important a good meal is. i'd prolly even eat the fish... even though im not a fan...and maybe do the dishes, just because you made it for me.
Reply:Vinnie..........I think you need to get your hand off your sausage,,seriously !
Reply:Wow, where have you been all my life?
Reply:well if I liked that id eat it. depended on what id liked.
Reply:Wonderul except for the wine - I don't like wine (but I want to learn to love it). But the rest of it sounds like heaven.

Where do I find you?
Reply:Wow, I would be really impressed. That sounds like even more effort than what I would do for my dream guy, but on the same wavelength. Whoever ends up being your dream girl is one happy girl! Though I must admit, if a guy did that for me, I would be wondering, can he keep this up or is it only "at the beginning"? I would certainly be flattered and think that for him to go to all this trouble, I would hope to be able to do something for him in return. Once the relationship is more "in", I would actually rather that we both prepare such a gourmet meal together. But it certainly is very nice to be pampered with such a lovely description as you have made.

Where to find guys like you?
Reply:I would love it. I'm coming over now!
Reply:Very nice! If he does the dishes, too, he's hired!
Reply:wow, i would be impressed. he is definitely 1. a natural, 2 . a show off. or 3. he knows where to get really good ready made things and pass it off as his own... :)

just kidding, well i would think , mm nice, he pays attention to detail, he clearly has patience, to prepare this meal, and well - he clearly shows he can put effort into something he thinks is worthwhile - and this my dear seems to be you. nice , enjoy.
Reply:I would think....wow.....he's a good cook and he's really made a lot of effort. I would also be very flattered.
Reply:yeah good onya vinny...

to answer your question, he would obviously want to get the salami out later on...and play hide the salami !

lol.
Reply:i think there is to much garlic and onions, in the meal. the girl might not like garlic and onions. good luck
Reply:r u italian?
Reply:I would think I died and went to heaven to have met a guy that can cook.
Reply:Well I'll say I'm impressed not a lot of guys go through the trouble to make a girl feel special. I'm a culinary arts teacher and it's my first year out of college and i would say nice menu. I like that u picked chardonnay to go with ur meal b/c it complements it very well. Good luck in finding ur girl and if u keep cooking like this I'm sure she won't be far away. lol Again good luck and happy holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a question for u, where can i find a guy like u, if u know please let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks:)
