How Will My Tomato Sauce Taste?

I took two small cans of tomato sauce, I put in a dash of pepper, a dash of parsley, Rosemary, oregano, and garlic. Do you think it will turn out okay? And what, if anything else, should I put in it?
How Will My Tomato Sauce Taste?
It sounds great! I would add:

Thyme

Basil

Good luck.
Reply:I like to add alittle bit of parmesan cheese directly in my sauces. And i also add alittle bit of sugar (a spoonful) along with the spices you have already suggested.... and some ground fennel maybe (if you like it, i cant add that anymore b/c my boyfriend HATES any amount of fennel, but i like the flavor it adds)
Reply:The acid in the tomatoes needs to be sweetened a little. Either add a little sugar, or grated carrot to sweeten. I usually add a splash of balsamic vinegar to tomato sauce, and ALOT of the herbs that you mentioned... and some salt....
Reply:No, it won't resemble an Italian flavor. You need whole tomatoes crushed, a can of tomato paste, a chopped onion, fresh minced garlic, a pealed carrot to absorb the acid. And most important white or red wine.
Reply:taste it, and if its taste too acidic, just add a couple tsp. of sugar, add a bit of salt, other than that, should be fine.
Reply:I'll catch a lot of flac for mentioning these two unhealthy things, but salt and sugar will help a lot.
Reply:Yes, I would add some onion powder or minced onion, sugar and sweet basil, too.
Reply:A little minced onion and green pepper maybe?
Reply:yes!!!!

from where im sitting it sounds wonderful and delicious

=)
