What is the best way to store fresh herbs in the 'frig?
wrap in paper towel

some people say to trim the stems and place in a container of water in the 'frig
Reply:Just wrap them in a moist paper towel. Then place them in a zip lock bag.
Reply:wrap in a paper towel and put in plastic zip lock bags
Reply:I found this gives an extra week to herbs when I double bag them with zip locks...so you squeeze out all the air while closing it, then you use a second bag, also squeezing out the air while closing. This will add an extra week or so to any herb, be it green onions, rosemary, or sage.
Reply:get a paper towel wet and gently wrap it around the herbs and put them in ziplock bags
Reply:you should buy the ziploc with the zippers on it they store food really good even vegetables and herbs. you can also try using glad containers. or if you're trying to spend some money then u should buy a food processor.
Reply:In the original packaging or a brown paper bag in the Veggie BIn.
Reply:Wrap it in a damp paper towel(make sure the paper towel isn't soaking wet) you can use also use a try paper towel. Then put in a zip-lock bag or a plastic bag. Then put in the frig.
Reply:If you are going to use them in soup recipes it is best to put them in an ice tray, cover with water and freeze them into ice cubes. To keep them fresh in the fridge: wash them, wrap them in a paper towel and store them in an airtight container.
Reply:If it is an herb with a stem I.E. parsley, mint, basil.

I have found a short juice glass with about an inch of water in it works well.(*you put the stems in the water).

For things like Rosemary and sage , a zip lock bag with all of the air squeezed out does well.
