What can I substitute for red wine?

It's an ingredient in the sauce I'm making for a pork tenderloin.

Here's the recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Kalamata-Po...

We don't usually keep alcohol in the house, and I don't feel like running out just to get a small bottle of wine. Help!
What can I substitute for red wine?
You use apple juice, vinegar, more stock, water, mustard(this will change the sauce), grape juice, grape or fruit jam. either one of these should help. Olives are salty so small amount of the substitute liquid at a time. Taste as you go.
Reply:i once used cranberries apples with just a splash of a fruity white wine as the sauce. but ive lost my receipe book to give the method on how to do it, looked all tonight but i cant find it.
Reply:Use a little more chicken stock and about 1 Tbsp of lemon juice.
Reply:I'd say either chicken stock or water.

Do you have a neighbor you could ask?
Reply:you now can get cooking wines you dont have to buy expensive red wines in cookery.
Reply:Just make it with a full cup of chicken broth.....It will change the taste a bit...but it sounds like a great recipe regardless...
