Do you think Rosemary is a sweet name for a baby girl??

Congrat's and Good-Luck :)
Reply:sounds like an old ladies name to me
Reply:As soon as i saw this question the name remined me of Rosemarys baby. LOL!!
Reply:Its okay, but I prefer Olivia
Reply:My aunty's name is Rosemary. She gets called Rose for short. I like it but you would have to be ok with her being called Rose as I think people would always shorten it.
Reply:yes
Reply:It's okay. It sounds too nun-ish, like she should be born with a crucifix on or something.
Reply:Yes! Someone in here giving a child a proper name for a change!

It is disrespectful to shorten anyone's name unless they agree to it; are people so lazy, disrespectful or stupid they can't use a child's proper name?

You should call her Rosemary and correct anyone, child or adult, who shortens it.

When she's older she can decide how different people are to address her!

Yes, an excellent choice, a good name unlike a lot of the silly and very chavvy names suggested in here that sound like they ought to be graffitti'd on bus stops in sink estates!
Reply:It is a cute name.Only one thing people associate the name Rosemary with is that old Mia Farrow movie Rosemary's Baby.
Reply:Absolutely adorable!

I saw the movie AND read the book, 'Rosemary's Baby' and that didn't enter my mind at all when I saw the name. It was in the sixties (or maybe early 70's) for Pete's sake!

Neither did I think of Shallow Hal or the 'Loves Grows' song.

Rosemary is just a very nice name. Lots of options to shorten it when she's a child. And it will be a great name when she is president pf IBM.
Reply:i think its cute
Reply:I think the name Rose is sweet but not Rosemary. Rosemary to me sounds old and Rose sounds like the new younger version lol
Reply:yes it is a really sweet name
Reply:It's cute! I can see a little girl in a dress being called Rosemary!

I like it!
Reply:Yeh...it's pretty, you can pronounce it/spell it and it's feminine. You can shorten it to Rose, Rosie, or just keep it as Rosemary!

Alice x x x x
Reply:No, it reminds me too much of rosemary's baby, I would keep the two but seperate them Rose Mary
Reply:I can almost picture her now all dressed in pink with little bows in her hair. What a beautiful name for a little girl. I love it! It's so cute and perfectly femenine. Plus, the nicknames that will come out of it are cute too. Nothing to worry about with a name like that!
Reply:Reminds me of "Rosemary's baby." I don't know what that is, but I've heard that :P
Reply:It's ok - a bit old fashioned though.
Reply:OOne of my friends name is RoseMary We call her Rosie. Yes, its pretty.
Reply:I wouldn't name my child it, but its kind of cute. Makes me think of a catholic church or popuri..
Reply:It is a beautiful name!

I love it!
Reply:Yeah i think it really is quite cute!

xx :-) xx
Reply:rosemary i sweet name i like it i calling my little girl rosemary if i have a girl and ben charlie for a boy
Reply:i do 2
Reply:Yeh, it is ok but she would always be teased about it being a herb and stuff like that.
Reply:no I think of Shallow Hal when I hear that name even though I am a plus size woman I would not want your baby girl to be picked on when she goes to school kids can be cruel trust me I know first hand so maybe just go for Rose I love that name I like it with Emma Rose,Ava or Eva ROSE,Lily Rose and Destiny Rose
Reply:I think that it important that the parents naming there baby are totally one hundred percent sure that they like it. Then it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks. But yes Rosemary is a sweet name.
Reply:Its pretty, but a little old fashioned how about Rosie :)
